Terms of use

Using Ex$

Ex$ is a free personal expense journal. You need an account with a working email address.

Keep your password to yourself: you're responsible for what happens in your account.

Your data is yours

You own what you enter. It's used only to run Ex$ for you, as the privacy page explains. You can export it or delete it at any time.

Not financial advice

Ex$ shows what you've recorded. Totals depend on what you enter and on imports, which can misread a receipt or a statement, so check imported rows before saving them.

Nothing in Ex$ is financial, tax or legal advice.

Currency

The currency setting only changes the symbol shown. Ex$ doesn't convert between currencies.

Fair use

Don't try to break or overload Ex$, get around its security, or reach other people's data.

To keep the service healthy, one account can hold up to 50,000 expenses and save up to 3,000 changes per hour.

Availability

We work to keep Ex$ running and your data safe, with backups, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. Keep your own export of anything important.

Changes and ending

These terms or the service may change. Important changes will be shown in the app.

You can stop using Ex$ and delete your account at any time. If Ex$ ever closes, we'll try to tell you in advance so you can export your data.

Liability

Ex$ is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for losses from using it, including mistakes in entered or imported amounts.
